Wanted: Warehouse / Retail Assistant

The Warehouse/Retail Assistant’s primary role is to ensure that inventory and purchasing daily data entries are accurately entered, assist in maintaining a neat, organized, stocked warehouse environment, and facilitate retail sales as required.
Duties/Areas of Responsibility:
Assist in issuing materials to CWT service technicians and ensure this is accurately and timely recorded – have all items issued registered in Sage at the latest at the end of the shift.
Assist with monitoring the deployment, storage, use, and return of materials used on jobs sites and ensure this is accurately recorded in Sage.
Assist with loading goods for customers.
Assist with all import and export activities including but not limited to customs clearance, (un)loading trucks, and deliveries.
Assist with the counting, organizing, and maintaining of stock and inspecting its condition and quality.
Ensure that the store is thoroughly stocked with supplies as per instructions.
Ensure that the warehouse and store are well kept, i.e., all materials are properly stored and that both areas are swept daily as needed.
Ensure that the loading dock area is always kept clean and free of debris.
Report any unsafe conditions in the warehouse to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager.
Assist with retail/reception and related administrative tasks
Communicate with customers, employees, and others to answer questions, address complaints, explain information, and take orders.
Answer and direct telephone calls, mail, or any incoming and outgoing office correspondence
Ensure all process documentation is adhered to and updated as necessary.
Attend company meetings as required.
Clock in and out at the beginning and end of every day and during lunch break.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Advise on improvements that benefit the company.
Other duties as required.
Minimum of 5 CXC or CSEC subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
English – fluently spoken and written.
General computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
Driver’s license (D Class driver’s license an asset).
Ability to lift 80lbs with ease.
Strong customer service attitude.
2 years experience in warehousing in a service business.
Plumbing, electrical, and/or construction experience.
Usage/knowledge of Sage / Quickbooks.
Team-player mentality, positive enthusiasm, and flexible attitude.
Clean driving record, clean police record, and completed covid vaccination.
Knowledge of ASYCUDA is a plus.
